We are pleased to introduce FleetMaster Europe 2.8, bringing 16 new features and improvements designed to make everyday fleet operations simpler, faster and more efficient. This release includes updates across user management, tachograph data, customer management, fuel card access, order planning and other key areas of the system.
Automatic Tachograph DDD Downloads
FleetMaster can now automatically retrieve tachograph DDD files according to a configurable schedule. Users can monitor retrieval status, download stored files and request a one-time retrieval for selected trucks and a specific period when needed. This helps reduce manual work and keeps tachograph data management in one place.
More Flexible User Roles and Permissions
User access can now be configured more precisely according to each employee’s responsibilities. Companies can use predefined roles or create their own, assigning one of three permission levels to each system area:
No access, View or Manage.
Drivers and managers are also managed separately, making user administration clearer and more structured.
Customer Subdivisions and Smarter FleetShare Access
Customers with multiple branches or departments can now be managed using subdivisions under a single customer account. Each subdivision can have its own pricing, contacts and FleetShare permissions. FleetShare access can be granted either to the entire customer organisation or only to a specific subdivision, helping companies share only the information relevant to each customer contact.
Fuel Card PIN in the Driver App
Drivers can now access the fuel card number and PIN directly from the FleetMaster Driver App when arriving at a planned fuel stop. For additional security, the PIN remains hidden until requested and is automatically hidden again after approximately 10 seconds. The same information is available to authorised managers through the Route Planner and Dashboard map views.
Estimated Route Distance and Duration in the Order Window
When creating an order, users can now immediately see the estimated road distance and driving time between route points. FleetMaster also calculates the total estimated distance and duration for the complete route. The values are updated automatically whenever route points are added, removed, reordered or changed, making it easier to evaluate a route before moving on to detailed planning.
